Micro
RC Gearbox
 This
compact gear unit was specially designed for indoor and micro
RC ornithopters. The 106:1 gear ratio provides excellent torque
and deep, impressive wingstrokes. Easy
attachment of wings and fuselage. Instructions are included
for a suggested flapping mechanism. This gear unit will work
with a wide range of ornithopter designs. Now you can design
your own electric ornithopters as easily as rubber-powered!
A
powerful 7mm coreless motor is included.The motor is intended
for 3.7 volt operation, which corresponds to a single lithium-polymer
cell. The gear unit weighs 2.4 grams, and the motor weighs
2.7 grams. The gearbox frame is 40 mm tall, not counting the
gears. The
gearbox is made in the USA using fused deposition technology.
Tamiya
Motor/Gearbox
 For
larger ornithopters, this gear unit from Tamiya features a
380 motor and 75:1 gear reduction with all metal gears. The
unit weighs 180 grams and is rated for 7.2 volts. It has a
6 mm diameter output shaft with a flat side for set-screw
mounting of your cam or crank.
