Phoenix

As soon as you've built our Freebird kit, you'll want to try this one too. It's the same size, but it looks more like a real bird. Phoenix qualifies for the Science Olympiad flying bird event!

You can customize your Phoenix by decorating it with permanent markers or graphics from your inkjet printer (shown, requires additional tissue). Click here for free graphics downloads and printing instructions.

Phoenix flies up to a minute, and it can even self-launch from a smooth surface. It has a 16 inch wingspan and weighs 1/4 ounce.

With the Phoenix kit, you will bend your own crank wire and learn to build with lightweight balsa and tissue construction. This kit will bring you a step closer to building your own models from scratch.

I recommend building the Freebird first before you try this more challenging kit. Order both and save.
